Felicia’s award-winning on-air broadcast journalism career was followed by a decade at the center of government in Washington, DC. She served as Director of Communications for United States Senator Susan M. Collins of Maine, handling all media issues for the Senator’s Washington, DC personal office, committees and subcommittees, as well as her six offices in Maine. During that time, Felicia handled communications for the Senator through such national crises as the September 11th terrorist attacks and the impeachment trial of President Clinton as well as her many committee investigations.
Following her service in Senator Collins’s office, Felicia moved to the Executive Branch of the federal government where she was appointed Director of Communications for the National Endowment for the Arts under Chairman Dana Gioia. In that position, Felicia oversaw national media campaigns for multi-million dollar programs including Operation Homecoming: Writing the Wartime Experience (named by the Washington Post as one of the 10 best non-fiction publications of 2006), NEA Jazz Masters, The Big Read, and Shakespeare in American Communities.
Over the course of her impressive career, Felicia has dealt with legislators, members of Congress, cabinet secretaries, presidents, foreign dignitaries, heads of state, artists, musicians, actors, and authors.
Felicia’s experience ranges from working closely with international corporations and foundations to advising small companies and municipal governments.
